ELIGIBILITY: In Honor of National Burger Month. The Red Robin® Chief Burger Officer Contest ("Contest") is open to Entrants ("Applicants") who, as of the Contest start date, are eighteen (18) years of age or older and legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia ("U.S.") except where prohibited. Family members of employees and children residing with employees, officers and directors of Red Robin International, Inc. ("Sponsor"), Sponsor's parent, subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates and the advertising or promotion agencies of each are not eligible to enter or win this Contest.

TO ENTER: The Contest begins on April 18, 2011 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on May 15, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) ("Promotion Period"). Sponsor's clock shall be the official clock of the Contest. THERE ARE TWO (2) METHODS OF ENTRY:

  1. Complete an application form online at during the Promotion Period; or
  2. 2) Complete an application in paper form by mailing us your Chief Burger Officer qualifications in a letter, including your first and last name, your address including zip code and your answers to the following five (5) credential establishing questions:
    1. What qualifies YOU to be Red Robin's Chief Burger Officer ("CBO")?
    2. As CBO, what will be your first recommendation to Red Robin?
    3. If chosen, how would you share with the world your love for Red Robin?
    4. Describe your favorite Red Robin® burger experience.
    5. What Red Robin® burger will accompany you in your CBO portrait? Why?
    Written responses to each question are limited to 240 characters. Sponsor will cause information contained in mailed forms to be entered into electronic format and included on the contest website. Mail written responses to Red Robin® Chief Burger Officer Contest, 6312 S. Fiddler's Green Circle, Suite 200N, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, Attn: Chief Burger Officer Search Committee. Mailed entries must be postmarked by May 15, 2011 and received by May 18, 2011. Written entries that exceed 240 characters will be void.
The application form (whether online or mailed) must be complete and in English (applications submitted by mail must be typed). Applicants may, but are not required to, upload or include a video or photo that reflects your CBO worthiness. See additional details related to submitting an optional video or photo in the Entry Qualifiers section below.

Limit: one (1) entry per person and one (1) Applicant name per entry form. All entries submitted become the property of the Sponsor. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Any entry not in compliance with these Official Rules, will be void. Multiple entries from the same Applicant will be void. Sponsor is not responsible for mailed entries that are lost, late, incomplete, altered, damaged, destroyed, ineligible, illegible, postage-due or misdirected. WINNER SELECTION/JUDGING CRITERIA: Applications will be judged by our CBO Selection Committee on the following criteria:
  1. Creativity-A little wit and wisdom goes a long way.
  2. Burger Love- Around here we are passionate about our burgers.
  3. Getting the word out-Hit up friends, family, strangers, colleagues, and your social network for valuable recommendation votes. We measure your social savviness by the number of recommendations you receive from friends, family and fans on the contest website at during the Promotion Period. From 12:00:01 a.m. Mountain Time on April 18, 2011 through 11:59:59 p.m. Mountain Time on May 15, 2011 (Voting Period), visitors to may vote for their favorite Finalist entry. Voting is limited to one vote per person (or IP Address) per day. Any votes cast by any person in excess of the limit will be void. Votes that Red Robin deems fraudulent will be void and will disqualify an Applicant.

ENTRY QUALIFIERS: As the Red Robin® Chief Burger Officer Search Committee ("Committee") receives applications; the Committee will review the applications to determine whether they meet the entry requirements. Only those applications meeting all requirements, as outlined in the Entry section, will be eligible to be judged by the Committee.

Additionally, Applicants may, but are not required to, include a photo or video as part of their entry. An online entry may include a photo as an upload file of 2MB or less or the applicant may include a video as an upload file of 4MB or less; a mailed entry may include a printed photo (color or black & white) no larger than 8"x10".

Content must be unpublished and the original work of the Applicant and the Applicant must own all rights to the entry, including copyright, trademark and publicity rights. Any entry that, in the opinion of the judges and Sponsor, was fraudulently created, infringes upon the rights of others, or is incomplete, unreadable or offensive will be disqualified and removed from

Each Applicant certifies by entering the Contest that he/she has the right, and authorizes Sponsor, to publish the entry (or portions thereof as edited or selected at Sponsor's discretion) in print, audio, video, internet or other media and to use the ideas encompassed in the entry in perpetuity, without compensation. By submitting the photo or video in their application, each Applicant authorizes Sponsor or its agents to use the submission in print, audio, video, internet or other media and to use the ideas encompassed in the entry in perpetuity, without compensation.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

DISPUTES: Any dispute relating to the Contest (including, without limitation, a dispute as to whether an Entrant has complied with all of these Official Rules) shall be resolved by the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, and the decision of the Sponsor shall prevail. All decisions of the Sponsor shall be final. Additionally, and except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of Colorado; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Colorado, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Colorado.

PRIZES: One Applicant will be selected as Red Robin® Chief Burger Officer (One (1) "Grand Prize Winner" or "Winning Applicant") and will receive a trip to Denver, Colorado, home of Red Robin's corporate office. Package includes round trip coach commercial air transportation for two (2) from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest Winning Applicant's location (as determined by Sponsor) to Denver, CO; standard double occupancy accommodations for two (2) days/two (2) nights at a hotel designated by Sponsor; and ground transportation to/from hotel and airport in destination city to be determined by Sponsor.

The CBO will also receive executive style perks which include one (1) year of Red Robin YUMMM® (12 gift cards valued at $30 per card) and a business lunch meeting with Red Robin's CEO Steve Carley or another member of the Red Robin Executive Team to share your CBO wisdom. You will also spend time with Red Robin's executive chef, or another member of the Red Robin Kitchen Team should the executive chef not be available, to become "Smiling Burger Certified". To announce your achievements, your name and photo will be displayed in lights, specifically, your name and photo will be displayed on NASDAQ's MarketSite Tower in New York City's Times Square.

The Winning Applicant will also receive an Apple® iPad2, a personalized chef's coat, a corporate desk nameplate, branded pad folio and pen, a plaque and business cards.

Estimated Retail Value ("ERV") of the prize package is $3,000. Winning Applicant is responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on the prizes based on the actual retail value of the prize, as set forth in the contest rules, and may be issued an IRS 1099 form for all prizes won from Sponsor where the aggregate value of all prizes is $600 or more in any calendar year. Actual value may vary based on fare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. Sponsor will not award any difference between estimated and actual value of prize.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The winning applicant and his or her respective guest must be able and available to travel to Denver, Colorado on the dates specified by Sponsor. Sponsor is responsible for booking travel and accommodation for CBO and guest. If guest is a minor, and not the ward or child of CBO, a parental consent form for the guest will be required. Actual retail value may vary depending on winner's point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Dates and accommodations are subject to availability, and certain restrictions and blackout dates may apply. Travel arrangements must be made a minimum of sixty (60) days prior to travel.

Trip consists of the following: round trip coach commercial air transportation for two (2) from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest Winning Applicant's location (as determined by Sponsor) to Denver, CO; standard double occupancy accommodations for two (2) days/two (2) nights at a hotel designated by Sponsor; and ground transportation to/from hotel and airport in destination city to be determined by Sponsor.

Sponsor is not responsible for flight cancellations, weather conditions or accommodation requests of the Grand Prize Winner beyond its control, or the inability of the Grand Prize Winner to travel in accordance with these Official Rules. Sponsor makes no warranty, express or implied, as to any prize. Prizes are based on availability and subject to change, in which case a prize of equal value may be substituted at Sponsor's sole discretion. Prizes consist only of the items listed, are non-transferable, are not redeemable in cash, and no substitutions will be permitted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. All travel-related expenses not set forth herein, including meals, gratuities and incidental hotel expenses, are the sole responsibility of Winning Applicant. Sponsor is not responsible for weather conditions, cancellations, travel restrictions other events beyond Sponsor's control, inability of Winning Applicant or guests to take advantage of the prize on the terms and conditions under which Sponsor offers the prize or any other difficulties occurring during or in connection with the trip or related activities. All unused portions of the prize package will remain the property of Sponsor.

WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASES: Sponsor will attempt to notify the Grand Prize Winner chosen as Chief Burger Officer via email or mail on or about May 24, 2011. Applicant will be required to complete sign, have notarized and return within 3 days of receipt (a scanned copy will be sufficient), an affidavit of eligibility, a licensing agreement, a waiver of liability and, where permitted, publicity release for themselves. Failure to return such documents within the designated time period may result in Applicant's forfeiting any prize they may have otherwise been eligible to receive. Any prize or prize notification returned as undeliverable or refused will result in disqualification of Applicant, and Sponsor may name an alternate winner. By accepting a prize, the Applicant's consents (where legal) to the use of the Applicant's name, likeness, photograph, biographical information and statements by Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, franchisees or affiliates for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without notice or compensation, except as required by law.

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: Each Applicant agrees, and shall cause Applicant's guest to agree, to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, franchisees, affiliates or advertising or promotion agencies and their respective officers, directors and employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damage or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Contest-related activity (including but not limited to travel related thereto) or participation in the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any telephone, computer or network malfunction or error, or for computer viruses or damage caused to Applicant's computer from accessing the Contest web site. If Sponsor cannot run this Contest as planned due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, then Sponsor may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend that portion of the Contest. If Sponsor terminates the Contest prior to its scheduled end date, Sponsor will determine a winner from all eligible entries received as of termination date and will post notice of such termination at Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other printing errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in the printing or posting of the offer or in these Official Rules, the selection or announcement of the winner or the distribution of any prizes.
